My entire schooling, college under graduation is in English medium across the lengths and breadths of India. My motivation to excel in English is courtesy my Grade 6 English teacher Mrs.Rajeswari. She has been a constant source of inspiration as she encouraged the children to think critically, present alternate views, participate and express their ideas.
During my secondary schooling days (Grade 6-8), I started writing small articles and opinion pieces in Times of India, Bengaluru. My contributions were recognised and they awarded “Cub Journalist” to me. This helped me bolster my confidence and I became more or less the permanent Master of Ceremonies year after year for all the functions held in the School from Grade 6 to Grade 12.
After completing my graduation in Psychology and as I was discovering my path in French language, I came across the Erasmus Mundus TELME Program in early 2026. This program sought knowledge of two languages in B2+ level proficiency. I made up my mind to equip myself to an extent that I will be a good candidate for Cohort 2027-29. Towards achieving the goal, I prepared for IELTS Academic Exam a week after completing my DALF C1 Exam. After self-preparation and appearing in few mocks of IELTS Academic, I was fairly confident that I can take up this exam on 31 July 26 and score 8+ in the overall band.
I was eagerly awaiting for my IELTS Academic Results as I was confident to cross overall band score of 8+.
My joy knew no bounds when I scored the perfect overall band score 9.0.
I missed hitting the ceiling on Writing but I was overly satisfied as I hit the peak of 9.0 in Listening, Reading and Speaking.
