I developed an interest in learning Spanish as it is one of the six official languages of United Nations. My interest to be fluent led me to enroll for the online Spanish A1.1 classes conducted by Instituto Cervantes, New Delhi (17 April – 28 May 2025) as a 6-Week Intensive Program ( 4 days in a week; Two and half hours each day). As I enjoyed learning the language under the native instructor Paula, I decided to complete online Spanish A1.2 in a similar format (05 June to 16 July 2025).
Pursuant to my joining Masters in French at the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University in August 2025, I decided to continue with my Spanish learning with Instituto Cervantes, New Delhi. I joined the A2.1 weekend (Sat/Sun) regular program which was 10-weeks long from 27 September to 13 December 2025. Based on recommendations of my instructor Monica , I appeared in an exam in January 2026 and was assessed to skip one level (ie A2.2) due to my Spanish language proficiency.
I completed A2.3 classes (17 January to 18 March 2026) in the same format. Due to my commitments for my MA French second semester in May 2026 and DALF C1 in June 2026, I took a small break (March to June 2026) and continued Spanish learning journey by joining B1.1 ( 11 July to 19 September 2026).
To assess my language levels in Spanish, I appeared in SIELE Global exam on 24 Sep 26 and was graded xx.
I aspire to reach higher levels in Spanish language in due course of time.
